Spring colours: warm hair and nude nails

With recent sunshine and clocks changing, it’s no wonder our thoughts are turning to summer and we always enjoy the change in seasonal hair trends. This season we’re noticing a departure from the wintery greys and steely platinums and a shift towards warmer tones for the warmer months. From balayages to blondes, colours are richer and softer, with copper, bronze, honey and rose gold featuring highly.

Of course we thought we’d try the newest colours out for you, with lots of our staff embracing warm hair tones. Stylist Molly plumped for an all over rich copper last week and Saskia is currently pastel peach.

Meanwhile, Ruby and China who were both dark over winter are now sporting bronzed tortoiseshell balayages.

Nina recently braved a big chop and accentuated her new shape with a rich copper colour and soft highlights, while apprentice Natalie had delicate pale ombre accents added to her natural colour to bring her look into spring.

While hair is getting warmer, nails are going nude. The new Jessica Silhouette collection is now available at Boilerhouse in both polish and gel options. The collection is being penned as make-up for the nails and bares six sophisticated shades of subtle yet shimmery nude colors suitable for every skin tone.

The colours in the range include Nude Thrills, a soft cappuccino hue with warm glints, Naked Contours, a velvety light mocha with cool undertones and Exposed, a glistening ecru shade with a touch of sparkle. You can book a nail appointment with us for as little as £12 for a file and polish, so there’s no excuse to not have on trend nails this season.
