Boilerhouse Hair x Newcastle Uni RAG Fashion Show

If you’ve been keeping an eye on our blog lately, you’ll have read a few weeks back, over on our styling outside the box post, that we had been asked to style models for the annual Newcastle University RAG fashion show. This year’s event was raising money for Mind, a charity very close to some of our team’s hearts, and we were thrilled to be able to play a part, once again, in such a worthy event.

Zahra, Saskia and Molly were tasked with styling hair to a brief taken loosely from the Spring/Summer 2016 catwalks of Alexander McQueen and Giles Deacon.

Inspired by the matted texture of McQueen and the more traditional Deacon plaits, our girls combined the two to knock it out of the park with an exciting and varied selection of braided beauties.

Big thanks go to Sera Waring of Temples Divided for popping in to take some snaps of our girls hard at work.

We also managed to find a few photos of the girls walking the catwalk, with their hair looking fierce and commanding attention, even in the scantily clad Ann Summers walk.

It’s always a pleasure to creative style for events like this, so please feel free to drop up us a line at boilerhousehair@gmail.com for potential future collaborations.
